Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing French superstar Antoine Griezmann and currently monitoring his situation at Atletico Madrid.
Arsene Wenger has tried to persuade rapid No.7 to leave Vincente Calderon and join him at Emirates Stadium during the Euro 2016, however, Frenchman failed to convince Griezmann to leave the La Liga giants.
With Diego Simeone’s side dropping as low as 6th in La Liga there have been suggestions that Griezmann will be open to leaving the Spanish giants during the summer transfer window and Arsenal are planning an ambitious move for the 25-year-old forward who has been nominated for Ballon d’Or alongside with Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Manchester United have also been strongly linked with the move for Frenchman since the arrival of Jose Mourinho as Portuguese seems to be a huge fan of the 25-year-old star.
Arsenal are desperate to sign a world-class striker for the next season and alongside with Griezmann they are monitoring Edinson Cavani who could be on his way out from PSG after the season ends.
Still, the Uruguayan is another player who may not come cheap, meaning the Gunners could continue to monitor Griezmann’s situation at the Vicente Calderon.
The news will come as a huge relief for Arsenal fans especially after the rumours surrounding Alexis Sanchez’s exit.
