Arsenal are reportedly set to battle it out with Juventus for technically gifted central midfielder Aleksandr Golovin from CSKA Moscow.
The creative midfielder enjoyed a superb campaign in his native Russia with CSKA and has proved himself as a coveted player in European football, with a host of top European clubs said to be interested.
Arsenal have long been connected with a swoop for Golovin, as the central midfielder prepares to represent his country at the 2018 World Cup this summer.
However, it looks like they will face fresh rivalry from Juventus for the signing of Aleksandr, with Tuttosport (via the Daily Mirror) indicating that the Serie A giants are also keen on the player.
Juventus are set for an active summer transfer window, with a host of players having already been spoken of as possible signings for the club.
Aleksandr is among those mentioned as potential additions for Massimiliano Allegri’s side, but it looks like they will be forced to battle the Gunners for the promising midfielder.
This season, in all competitions, Aleksandr Golovin has made 43 appearances, netted seven goals and provided six assists.
