Chelsea £120,000-a-week star emerges as target for Italian giants

Chelsea Spanish striker Alvaro Morata is understood to be a top summer target for AC Milan in this transfer market.

The Blues forward faced a difficult first campaign in English football. Alvaro started the season well but struggled to develop stability and was riddled with niggling injuries.

The west London side was forced to sign Frenchman Olivier Giroud in the January transfer market to provide another outlet of goals, but it looks like they are on the observation post for another new striker this summer, with Gonzalo Higuain and Robert Lewandowski both linked.

Morata has been connected with a move to AC Milan and Juventus throughout the last few weeks, and according to the recent Italian states, Gennaro Gattuso’s side has made the landing of the Spaniard a priority.

The one-time Real Madrid star has been spotted in Milan on numerous occasions recently, but it’s thought that this was because of the holiday, rather than business.

Alvaro will hope to enjoy a more productive campaign in 2018/19, but whether he will be playing his football at the Blues or in Serie A once more remains to be seen.
