Chelsea’s management are reportedly preparing a new deal for N’Golo Kante in a bid to fend off interest from Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.
Calcio Mercato, who quote claims from Paris United, reports that the Blues are hoping that they can do enough to keep their prized asset at Stamford Bridge beyond the summer.
The French giants Paris Saint-Germain have previously registered an interest in bringing the player to France. The Ligue 1 champions have been planning to take advantage of the Blues’ lack of Champions League football.
Chelsea have reportedly offered the star a wage similar to what the French club were prepared to pay, which was believed to be over £200,000 per week.
Kante has become an important figure in the Blues squad since his move from Leicester City, and the Frenchman has also been impressing in the World Cup this transfer market.
There had been suggestions that the west London club could struggle to keep hold of the star after his performances in Russia, but that does not emerge to be the case.
