Chelsea and Premier League rivals Liverpool target Porto full-back Alex Telles has been the subject of a failed €35 million bid from the German giants Bayern Munich.
According to the Portuguese daily sport newspaper O Jogo, the Bundesliga champions have seen their bid turned down by Porto, with Juventus also interested in the Brazilian.
The report states that Alex Telles does have a €40 million release (buy-out) clause in his contract.
There are concerns in Die Roten over the long-term future of Austria international David Alaba, who has been connected with moves to Spain in the past.
Both Chelsea and Liverpool have expressed an interest in Alex Telles previously, with the Brazilian making an impression in Portugal.
Liga NOS giants Porto are desperate to keep hold of the key man who is seen as a valuable member of the senior-team squad.
The Portuguese club are keen to not lose any more defensive players with both Diogo Dalot and Ricardo Pereira moving to the Premier League this transfer market.
Pereira joined Claude Puel’s Leicester City and Dalot has joined Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United.
