Chelsea long-time target Robert Lewandowski has reportedly had a change of mind and has decided to stay at the Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, according to the German tabloid newspaper Bild.
It was reported earlier in the summer that Poland international was looking for a transfer away from the German club and Chelsea were muted as one of his potential destinations, as were Manchester United.
However, La Liga giants Real Madrid were touted as the favourites to land the 29-year-old, but it becomes visible that he’ll now be staying in Germany.
The links to the Red Devils never really made sense as the club already have an abundance of attacking variants, but Chelsea are evidently in the market for a new forward with Alvaro Morata’s future up in the air.
The west London club were said to be interested in Robert Lewandowski, although the club’s management never made an official bid.
However, even if the club do have an interest in the Poland captain, it seems like they’ll need to find another striker to target as Robert seems set to remain in Bayern Munich.
