European giants boss in pole position to take over as Arsenal manager

The French giants Paris Saint-Germain manager Unai Emery is said to be the fresh favourite for the Arsenal job this summer.

The British daily national tabloid newspaper The Daily Express reports that Unai Emery is due to depart from the French capital at the end of the campaign and could be offered an instant return to management with the London side.

Paris Saint-Germain will substitute their manager upcoming summer following his failings in the Champions League, in spite of winning the domestic treble current season.

Following his stunning record in the Europa League with La Liga club Sevilla, Unai Emery was brought into Ligue 1 side in a bid to win the Champions League title.

A host of names have been connected with the Arsenal job already including one-time players Mikel Arteta (currently at Manchester City’s coaching staff) and Patrick Vieira (current head coach of New York City) as well as former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique.

Both Mikel and Patrick have been heavily connected with the position with the Gunners said to be pursuing a younger coach to take the club forward into a new era at The Emirates Stadium.
