Real Madrid are prepared to take total advantage over Chelsea’s failure to anchor Belgian ‘keeper Thibaut Courtois down with a new deal, as club’s management plan to snatch the goalkeeper from Stamford Bridge.
Thibaut announced early in March that he would stay at Chelsea next campaign and that contract negotiations were underway, but no contract has been penned by the Belgian, according to The Daily Mirror.
There is set to be a summer of change at the Blues with both the Italian manager Antonio Conte and Spanish striker Alvaro Morata unsure on their futures, the club looks to be in a small crisis.
In addition to this, the Blues’ failure to obtain Champions League football may lead their key man to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Thibaut is set to enter into his final 12 months of his deal this coming campaign. Chelsea may be forced into a summer sale to avoid losing Thibaut Courtois for free next summer.
Real Madrid boss Florentino Perez is keen to substitute Keylor Navas who has been lacking these past two campaigns. Plus, Florentino will be looking for Belgian’s signature marque signing and Thibaut may just be that.
