Liverpool could potentially pull out in the hunt for South Korea forward Hee-Chan Hwang upcoming summer, according to reports.
The 22-year-old star has impressed for Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg this campaign and it is believed that he is prepared to make the step up to one of Europe’s elite leagues.
Following reports from the London Evening Standard at the start of the month over interest from the Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur, reports from Austria now state that Borussia Dortmund are planning to swoop in ahead of Jurgen Klopp’s side.
According to Austrian outlet Salzburger Nachrichten, the German side, who appointed Lucien Favre as coach this week, are prepared to submit a €15million bid.
In spite of only netting five goals for Salzburg in the league current campaign, Hwang played an important role in his side making the final four of the Europa League.
While the Austrian club will want to keep hold of the attacker, the London Evening Standard reported at the start of May that a bid of about £13 million may prove to be enough to land him.
