Arsenal central midfielder Reiss Nelson is set to sign the contract extension with the club soon.
According to the English weekly paid-for newspaper Islington Gazette, Nelson is set to sign an extended deal with The Gunners after his recent form.
Reiss Nelson was rewarded with a Premier League start, and made an impression, against Southampton previous weekend.
Arsenal won 3-2 and Reiss was praised for his energetic display.
The youngster has lined up at the right-side back and as a right winger for Arsenal’s senior-team this season, showing the trust that French manager Arsene Wenger has in him.
The 18-year-old looks set for a brilliant future at The Emirates and the management are keen to tie him down to a long-term deal.
Nelson has been a systematic in Arsenal’s Europa League run this campaign, a competition in which club is expected to go through to the semi-finals on Thursday.
Winning the Europa League is The Gunners’ only realistic chance of having Champions League football upcoming season.
