Liverpool Dropped From Transfer Race For Dutch Winger

Liverpool have decided not to make a move for highly-demanded Dutch winger Quincy Promes.

Jurgen Klopp had been interested in signing the Dutch international and Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum fuelled speculation last month that his compatriot was moving to Anfield.

The 25-year-old winger has eight goals in 17 appearances for Russian club this time and his arrival would be timely given Brazilian midfielder Philippe Coutinho’s injury problems and the absence of Sadio Mane.

According to the Dailly Mail reports, Liverpool do not intend upon pursuing a deal for the highly-rated winger.

Liverpool arch rivals Everton are now favorites to sign the Spartak Moskow striker.

With Coutinho returning from injury and Daniel Sturridge ready and available, it appears the boss has decided a big money signing is not necessary – although we still appear pretty short.

With Danny Ings injured long-term, we have Coutinho, Roberto Firmino, Sturridge and Divock Origi competing for three positions this month – with the only backup very young players like Sheyi Ojo and Ben Woodburn. Considering we’ve a game every three of four days, any injuries will be a devastating blow.
