Liverpool in battle with EPL rivals for 25-year-old star

Wolverhampton Wanderers are planning a move for Stoke goalkeeper Jack Butland, a reported Liverpool goal when the transfer window reopens.

According to a report from the Daily Express, Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo is lining up a £35 million swoop for the Englishman and he will make a bid should Stoke City get relegated.

Wolves were recently crowned champions of the EFL Championship after a tremendous campaign which saw them stay at the top of the pile since November.

Nunu Espirito Santo’s side intends to show they are prepared for the new competitive term by adding top EPL quality to their team.

Reports indicate that Liverpool are interested in signing Jack Butland in the summer and West Ham United could join the hunt if they manage to secure their EPL status.

Although his team are facing a difficult test escaping relegation, Jack Butland has been one of their key players this season.

Jack could be England’s first-choice goalkeeper in Russia for the World Cup and clubs are pointing to get the deal done before Englishman jets off with the national team.
