Man United dealt huge blow as European giants won race for £63m-rated star

According to British online newspaper, the Independent, Manchester United are out of the hunt for Gareth Bale with the forward set for a switch to Inter Milan.

The Welshman has been connected with a move to Old Trafford, with Gareth having a tough time in La Liga with Real Madrid. He has become surplus to needs at the Santiago Bernabeu, with Los Blancos looking at landing Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain.

But the Independent report that Real Madrid now have zero interest in landing Bale, with the club paying out big on bringing Alexis Sanchez to the club, and would not be interested in a move for the Wales international.

Bale moved to Los Blancos after a career year with Tottenham Hotspur in 2013 but has struggled to rediscover that form since switching to the Spanish capital.

The Welshman was substituted off at halftime against Juventus on Wednesday, as Real Madrid scraped their way to the Champions League semifinals.

Inter Milan now look to be in the pole position for Bale, a team that the Welshman should be familiar well after scoring a hat-trick versus them with Spurs in 2010/11.
