Man United joined by European giants in race for 25-year-old star

As reported by regional daily newspaper The Manchester Evening News, French giants Paris Saint-Germain have joined the hunt to sign Shakthar Donetsk midfielder Fred upcoming summer. Brazilian has been extensively connected with a transfer away from the club.

Since his arrival at Shakhtar Donetsk in 2013 from Brazilian side Internacional, Fred has enjoyed a speedy rise to his career. He has developed to be their midfield enforcer and has made over 150 matches for the club in all competitions.

Fred has been in stunning form current season and as a result, he has been included in his country’s 23-man squad for the FIFA World Cup. His deal with the Ukranian side runs out only in 2023 but as per the report, Fred has a £52.89 million buy-out clause included in it.

He has been connected with moves to Manchester City and Manchester United in the past, but if the report is to be believed, Paris Saint-Germain are also vying for his services.

This season, in all competitions (Premier Liga, Premier Liga – Meisterrunde, Champions League, Ukrainian Cup), Fred has made 37 appearances, netted 4 goals and provided 7 assists.
