Real Madrid are reportedly prepared to bid for Lazio key man and Manchester United target Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, according to the Italian website Calcio Mercato.
Super agent Jorge Mendes is reportedly working on the potential deal, with Real Madrid set to submit a big bid in an attempt to land the Serbian midfielder.
According to Calcio Mercato, Los Blancos are set to offer more than €100 million, with a further €15 million to €20 million in bonuses. This is still a huge amount but is reportedly below Biancocelesti’s asking price for the player.
Juventus are reportedly out of the race due to their signing of Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. The deal has obviously taken a lot out of their transfer budget, meaning a deal for Sergej is now off the table.
If Los Blancos are to sign the midfielder, however, the club’s management may have to pay over €120 million they have offered so far, with Serie A club being historically tight-fisted.
Manchester United United have been keen on a switch for the Serbian for a while, but may have to overpay for the star if they want to bring him to Old Trafford.
