Manchester United head-coach Jose Mourinho has revealed that Morgan Schneiderlin transfer to Everton is “very close”.
Roland Koeman’s side have agreed a £22 million deal for 27-year-old midfielder who has fallen out-of-favour at Old Trafford since the arrival of Jose Mourinho.
Man United Ceo Ed Woodward has apparently informed former Chelsea and Man United manager that Schneiderlin’s transfer to Goodison Park is on the card and Portuguese coach has confirmed it after Hull City win.
‘No details but before the match I was informed by Mr Woodward that the situation is to close,’ Mourinho said on Tuesday.
‘So Morgan is more than probably going to Everton.’
Schneiderlin has found it tough with the Red Devils, and has played for just 11 minutes in the Premier League this season.
However, the midfielder could be an important signing for Ronald Koeman, who worked with the 27-year-old at Southampton before losing him to Old Trafford.
Everton may be hoping to have the deal completed in time for their game with Manchester City on Sunday, given that Idrissa Gueye has left for the African Cup of Nations – leaving them short in the middle of the park.
Ligue 1 giants Lyon are reportedly have made Man United winger Adnan Januzaj as their no.1 transfer target during the January transfer window.
Man United have ha e allowed the 21-year-old to leave Old Trafford earlier in the Summer, as Belgian joined Premier League outsiders Sunderland on a season-long loan deal, however, having failed to live up to his potential the Reds forward could be seeking a change in his carrer and Lyon could be an answer to his struggles.
The attacker emerged as the no.1 transfer target for Lyon after french giants lost Rachid Ghezzal due to an AFCON , according to the L’Equipe reports.
Highly-rated winger Rachid Ghezzal is likely to leave French giants in the summer and Lyon are keen on to sign Belgian winger on a permanent basis in the middle of the current campaign.
Mourinho would first have to sanction a deal though, as Januzaj is currently tied to Sunderland until the end of the season and after that he could be keen on to allow Belgian leave the Red Devils.
Man United long-term target and Bayern Munich superstar has send a warning message to Carlo Ancelotti after being benched in the Bavarians last game against RB Leipzig.
The Germany international has struggled to adapt under the club’s new manager this season, scoring only one Bundesliga goal so far this term and seeing his place come under threat.
German international was only on the bench for Bayern victory over their rivals for Bundesliga title RB Leipzig.
‘It will be really tough for Muller to fight himself back into the starting XI in the second half of the season. There is not really a position in Ancelotti’s formation that suits him.’
The Red Devils have tried and failed to sign Muller earlier in the summer and now they could have a chance to sign him after forward claiming that he is unhappy with his role under Ancelotti.
‘The last game against Leipzig was not optimal for me personally, since I did not play,’ Muller told Bild.
‘There was more space than in the games before. It was a game I could have enjoyed.
‘Of course, I’m not sitting there with a grin on the bench.’
German international star has spent his entire career with the Bavarians scoring 156 goals in 375 appearances.
