The Premier League side Arsenal target Aston Villa wonderboy Jack Grealish is the subject of a profitable bid from Chelsea, according to TEAMTalk.
Aston Villa technically gifted midfielder enjoyed a superb campaign in the EFL Championship but saw his club fell just short of promotion to the EPL with a 1-0 defeat in the playoff final to the English club Fulham.
With the Villa now facing financial destruction, they seem destined to lose the 22-year-old star in the summer transfer window.
Although a price tag of £40 million is reported to have been set by the club’s management, Jack Grealish is unlikely to command such a fee.
In the chase to land the Birmingham-native, the EPL giants Chelsea believe they have a bid with a clear advantage.
A £30 million sum would include the loaning of Jack back to Aston Villa for the 2018/19 campaign, as the club target to make their promotion charge a successful one this time around.
It would also give Jack the chance to continue playing senior team football, something he has seemingly benefited from to this point in his professional career.
New coach Unai Emery may choose to back down in the hunt for the midfielder’s signature, should he deem the price to be excessive.
