Serie A duo reportedly to go head-to-head for Chelsea £120,000-a-week star

The Italian giants Inter are ready to rival league rivals AC Milan in the race to land Spanish striker Alvaro Morata this summer, according to reports.

Goal, as quoted on Calcio Mercato states that Inter are keen on Spain international, as the club’s management look to step up their summer transfer business.

Inter are planning to make a mark in Serie A next campaign and have already confirmed deals for Lautaro Martinez and Radja Nainggolan among others.

Morata is said to be interested in on a return back to Italy, with AC Milan named as the best-placed team for him in the report.

There is also thought to be interest from the Serie A champions Juventus, with states of a swap deal involving Argentine international Gonzalo Higuain being mooted in Italy.

The Spaniard struggled to make an impression during his first term in the Premier League, and a goal drought throughout the second half of the term saw him fall behind Olivier Giroud in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.
