Arsenal reportedly look set to lose forward Alexandre Lacazette for free next year as the striker has decided to see out his deal at the Emirates.
The French star has entered the last year of his contract at the club, which he signed four years ago following his £47 million arrival from Lyon.
Mikel Arteta had been keen to sell Lacazette this summer in order to raise funds to bolster other areas of his squad.
Atletico Madrid have registered interest in signing him and Diego Simeone has held a long-term interest in the player.
However, football.london claim that the Frenchman will run down his deal with the north London giants before likely leaving on a free transfer.
Los Rojiblancos had intimated they would be willing to part with Arsenal-linked Kieran Trippier if the Gunners included Alexandre or Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in a part-exchange offer.
But the Gunners are keen to keep Pierre-Emerick and feel Kieran would favour a transfer to Manchester United, therefore seeing little value in offering Alexandre.
Arsenal have lost the likes of Aaron Ramsey, Petr Cech, Jack Wilshere and Danny Welbeck on free transfers in the latest years and the management had vowed to end the days of missing out on sums.
