Italian outfit Inter Milan have been connected with a move to sign Italo-Brazilian defender Emerson Palmieri from Chelsea this month.
According to a report from an Italian outlet La Repubblica, as quoted by Calciomercato, the Serie A club are intent on adding the left wing-back to their roster for the second half of the campaign.
It is stated that Inter manager Luciano Spalletti is a big fan of Emerson’s talents and would be keen on signing him on loan until the end of the current season.
Italy international has struggled to secure regular playing time under Maurizio Sarri this season, with Marcos Alonso the preferred variant on the left-hand side of the defence.
This has prompted talk surrounding his future, with Inter Milan reportedly now emerging as possible suitors for the former AS Roma star.
Chelsea only purchased Emerson in the January transfer market last year, as he completed a switch to West London for a fee believed to be worth just over £17m.
This season, in all competitions, the technically gifted South American full-back has made 11 appearances, netted one goal and provided one assist.
