Chelsea boss Antonio Conte hints that he is a big admirer of both Arturo Vidal and Alexis Sanchez.
Antonio Conte has already repeatedly talked of his respect for Alexis Sanchez after Chelsea were linked with a transfer to sign the Arsenal ace last summer.
Sanchez’s future has been a constant cause of speculation in the last few months after both he and Mesut Ozil joined into the last times of their deals at The Emirates.
Both deals are set to finish at the end of the term and it doesn’t look as if either footballer are going to do their futures to the north London club.
Sanchez was touted as a potential target for both Manchester City and Chelsea in the summer transfer window but Arsenal opted not to trade their talismanic forward.
Chelsea have also been associated with a transfer to sign Sanchez’ Chile team-mate Arturo Vidal from Juventus in recent times.
Conte rejected to comment directly on those links but did talk up his praise for both Vidal and Sanchez.
Asked about the pair at a news conference on Tuesday, Conte replied: “You are speaking about two great and powerful players, top footballers for their roles.
“Vidal is one of the greatest in the world, but Sanchez is the equal as a striker.”
Chelsea are now fitting for their FA Cup third-round clash versus Norwich City on Saturday night.
The Blues will also have one eye on their test Champions League last 16 clashes with Barcelona next month.
