The Premier League side Arsenal have reportedly made an opening offer worth €32 million for European giants AS Roma star Cengiz Under, according to the latest reports from Italy.
The Gunners have been heavily connected with a move for the young attacker, who has caught the eye with some stunning performances for his side in Serie A this season.
It is believed that the Gunners have sent scouts to observe Cengiz Under on several occasions as the club continue to ponder a January swoop.
However, according to reports from Tuttomercatoweb, as quoted by Football Italia, it looks a formal approach has already been made by the Premier League outfit.
Unai Emery’s side have reportedly seen an initial offer worth €32 million turned down by AS Roma, as the Gunners aim to ramp up their reported pursuit of the Turkish star ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
Arsenal’s interest in landing Under is clear, but if they are to prise the ace away from the Stadio Olimpico, it is reported that they will need to meet the Rome-based outfit’s asking price of €50 million.
