Arsenal given green light to sign 19-year-old Italian midfielder

Cesare Casadei is the subject of interest from Arsenal over a potential move in the summer transfer window. Inter Milan midfielder is also a target for Arsenal’s London rivals Chelsea, with the Nerazzurri demanding €20m for him.

Casadei has spent his formative years with three Italian teams, starting his youth career at Cervia before joining Cesena. But Cesare had to find a new team when Cesena folded in 2018. And the 19-year-old midfielder joined the Nerazzurri before establishing himself as one of the best young midfielders in Italy.

U19 Italy international is yet to make his first-team debut for the Nerazzurri but has a solid record of 24 goals and seven assists in 65 games for the Primavera team. The Italian midfielder’s progress at Inter Milan has not gone unnoticed, with several European clubs, including Arsenal and Chelsea, setting their sights on him.

The London clubs have submitted enquiries for the Italian. The interest from the Gunners is intriguing, considering Arsenal have already bolstered their midfield unit by signing Fabio Vieira from Porto. But the Gunners have shown an inkling to add another midfielder.

Several midfielders have thus popped up on the Gunners’ radar, including Arthur Melo, Lucas Paqueta and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. The Nerazzurri will demand €20m to part ways with the Italian, but Arsenal and Chelsea are not set to shell out the required sum to add the midfielder.
