Arsenal held negotiations with €40m-rated Brazilian winger

The London giants could reportedly be ready for the chance to seal the transfer of Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior in the summer. Brazil international has long looked a hugely promising talent, though he’s not yet managed to really establish himself at Los Blancos, putting his future into doubt.

La Liga giants could now be prepared to sell Vinicius for nearly €50m if he doesn’t improve by the end of the campaign. The report names Arsenal and PSG as potential suitors for Vinicius and Gunners would surely be happy to see their club move for this exciting young winger.

The Spanish manager could do with more quality up front after a major dip in form from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this campaign, while recent additions like Nicolas Pepe and Willian have not lived up to expectations. The Brazilian winger could well prove to be an upgrade if he’s given the chance to play regularly and gain confidence.

The 20-year-old winger still has time to improve after a difficult spell in Madrid, and he may well view Arsenal as a good opportunity for him, even if only as a stepping stone before something bigger.

Arsenal will be concerned by this given the amount that’s also been spent on new signings such as Nicolas Pepe, Gabriel Magalhaes, Thomas Partey and Willian.
