Both Arsenal and Man United will try to execute a move for Victor Osimhen. Nigeria international has emerged as the next big thing in the transfer market. Napoli’s current run wouldn’t be possible without the goals scored by the 24-year-old centre-forward.
The Nigerian centre-forward has been heralded pretty highly for his consistency and teams have already been lining up for his services for the last couple of campaigns. The Nigerian has 13 goals across all tournaments this campaign.
His fantastic form hasn’t gone unnoticed by Man United who have managed to churn out convincing performances game after game. The Red Devils are yet to be back in the PL title contention but their improvement under Erik ten Hag has been hugely satisfying.
They brought in Weghorst on a loan deal for the remainder of the campaign and it could only be a stop-gap signing. They will be needed attacking reinforcements and should they manage to finish in the UCL spot a high-profile striker will be desired.
The African centre-forward is currently valued at nearly £120m as Napoli would refuse any offer which doesn’t fall in place with their demands. Chelsea’s recent acquisition of Mudryk showed that teams are willing to pay a premium to outbid their opponent and the Italian club want to utilize their position.
The Gunners were close to acquiring the service of the former Lille centre-forward in the past, as the striker himself admitted he had a chat with Arsene Wenger over the possibility.
