Arsenal are reportedly considering whether to make a move for Juventus forward Alvaro Morata during the summer transfer window.
The Atletico Madrid striker who is current on loan at Juvnetus has managed to found back of the net 11 times in 44 games during the current season.
While the Serie A giants have the option to purchase the Spain international for €35m (£29.35m), it has been reported that they will attempt to negotiate a lower transfer fee.
However, according to Tuttomercatoweb, the Gunners could provide competition for the frontman’s services as they desperately look to strengthen in that area of the pitch.
The report suggests that the North London giants are prepared to pay €30m (£25.16m) for the ex-Chelsea attacker, theoretically giving Atletico more leeway to remain firm on the contracted fee from Juve.
As it stands, it is unclear whether Alvaro Morata would contemplate a return to London after failing to settle during his previous stint in the English top-tier.
Meanwhile, CalcioMercato claim that Arsenal and Tottenham want to land RB Leipzig left-back Angelino – just one campaign after he joined the Bundesliga side permanently from Manchester City.
The 25-year-old joined Die Roten Bullen on loan in January 2020 and having spent a one-and-a-half year at the club temporarily, a £16m permanent deal was struck.
He has produced 34 goal involvements in that time – netting 10 goals and laying on 24 assists. Now, Angelino is being mentioned with a return to England. The Gunners and Spurs are interested.
