Arsenal planning surprise move for €25m-rated Ligue 1 star

The London giants are reportedly leading the race to seal the transfer of PSG playmaker Georginio Wijnaldum. Newcastle United and Everton are also interested in signing the 31-year-old midfielder, as the footballer now looks convinced he wants to quit the Parisians despite just joining a few months ago.

Gini looked like a quality signing on a free when he made the summer move from Liverpool, but he’s struggled to establish himself at PSG and could now be heading back to the PL. The Gunners could be his most likely destination, and that makes sense given the Spanish manager’s need for a new addition in the middle of the park.

Arsenal have also been pursuing a loan move for Arthur Melo this month, but deal to add the Juventus footballer has stalled. The Dutch midfielder could be a fine alternative for the Gunners to consider, and some supporters may even feel he’d be the better option anyway, as he’s proven in the PL.

The Reds supporters will surely be disappointed to see how things have panned out for their former footballer, as he could surely have remained a crucial figure in the German manager’s side if he’d remained at Liverpool this campaign.
