Arsenal refused to accept €40m-rated key man wishes

Arsenal keen to sign a new contract with his player Aaron Ramsey but Wales international has special demands and Gunners aren’t going to accept. During the transfer window several big clubs like Chelsea, Liverpool and Barcelona were trying to add him but finally, Aaron stayed with the Gunners. Emery wanted to offer a new long-term contract to the player but he refused.

Spaniard offered increased £300,000-a-week wage but 27-year-old rejected this proposal. The London club have problems now in midfield and there is no time to lose another high-class footballer. Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi are too young players and don’t have enough experience to play such a big club. Last season Welshman made 37 appearances, scored 12 goals and made 9 assists in all competition.

Ramsey is contracted with Arsenal until 2019 and his release clause is around €40m. He joined the club from Cardiff in 2008 with a €7m deal. Aaron is a key figure for the Gunners as he has impressive skills and can create many dangerous moments in the game. Unai will do everything to keep the player in the club but if Welsh midfielder doesn’t have suitable requests he will stay without the club.
