The London giants are reportedly reviving their interest in a transfer deal for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha ahead of this summer. Arsenal will, however, need to sell footballers before they can think about an ambitious move for Ivory Coast international, who they first looked at back in 2019.
Wilfried has been one of the finest attacking footballers in the PL for several years and is surely ready to make the step up to a bigger club. Zaha flopped at Man United earlier in his career, but he’s improved a great deal since then and it would be intriguing to see him at a club like the Gunners.
The Spanish manager would do well to bring in the 28-year-old forward as an upgrade on out-of-form attacking duo Nicolas Pepe and Willian, both of whom must surely be candidates for the exit door after their total lack of impact at the London club.
The Gunners will hope to see some investment in the squad this summer after such a disappointing campaign, and a big name like the Ivorian forward looks perfect to help turn things around for the next campaign.
The Gunners may have some talented defenders at the club just now and they’ll give you the odd game where the future looks bright, but some recent displays show why new additions are needed this summer.
