Arsenal Set to Hijack Man Utd Move For World-Class No.21

Arsenal have reportedly joined the race to land Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata.

The 24-year-old has been strongly linked with a move away from the Bernabeu after failing to prove himself in Zinedine Zidane’s first team.

Chelsea and Manchester United have both been linked with the player in the last weeks.

But, as The Sun reports, the Gunners are set to battle their Premier League rivals for Morata’s services.

Arsene Wenger reportedly sees the Spain International as a potential replacement for Alexis Sanchez.

The South American star will be out of the deal with Arsenal next summer, and his destiny long-term future at the Emirates remains unknown.

Morata won’t come cheap though, obviously rated at a massive £50m by Real.

However, Wenger is believed to be ready to stump up the cash to get a transfer done.

Morata, who would reportedly prefer a move to Chelsea, has four seasons left to run on his deal in the Spanish capital.

He has played 40 matches in all tournaments this season, netting 20 goals and assisting six in the process.
