Arsenal started negotiations with 21-year-old full-back

The London giants have already begun making moves in the transfer market ahead of the summer window. Arsenal have recently held negotiations with Feyenoord over the possibility of signing full-back Tyrell Malacia. U21 Netherlands international joined Feyenoord’s youth academy all the way back in 2008.

Since arriving as a young boy, Tyrell has gone on to force his way through the club’s ranks and establish himself as a first-team regular. After being awarded his competitive debut in the UCL in 2017, Malacia has racked up 78 games, in all tournaments.

Despite nailing down his side’s left-back spot, the 21-year-old left-back has attracted the interest of some of Europe’s biggest teams, including Arsenal. Arsenal’s hierarchy would like to sign the Dutch defender in the summer and have already opened negotiations with his Eredivise side.

We understand that a transfer fee of nearly £8m has been discussed with discussions expected to continue throughout the summer. David Luiz does take a lot of stick for his ability to make mistakes, but it’s pretty clear that the Gunners need him in defence just now.

He’s clearly a great leader and that was missing tonight as they looked all over the place, while he probably would’ve defended better than his teammates as well.
