Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have entered the hunt to sign reported Arsenal target Nicolas Pepe from Ligue 1 club LOSC Lille, according to the latest reports.
A sports radio station Talksport reports that Arsenal have been keeping tabs on the forward for some time now along with fellow EPL club Manchester United, but Bayern Munich are reportedly also keen on securing his signature.
The German outfit have made a poor start to the campaign and are eager to strengthen their squad in the January transfer window, with Nicolas now emerging as one of their top targets.
With Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck’s curent contract expiring at the end of the campaign, the Gunners are on the lookout for a possible replacement, with the club looking increasingly unlikely to hand Danny a new deal.
The 23-year-old star has started the season in fine fashion for LOSC Lille, finding the back of the net six times nine league matches.
The technically gifted winger has been valued at around £30 million by French club’s management but if he continues his excellent form, that price could increase.
