Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea and the Premier League rivals Manchester City are believed to be two of the sides happy to meet Brescia’s €40 million asking price for their prized asset, Sandro Tonali.
According to a report on TEAMtalk, who quote claims from Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, the EPL duo would be ready to splash the cash in order to bring in one of Italy’s brightest prospects.
Luciano Spalletti’s Inter Milan, Eusebio Di Francesco’s AS Roma, Sarri’s former club Napoli and Serie A champions Juventus have all been connected with moves to sign the Italian creative midfielder from the Serie B outfit.
Having impressed in Italy’s second tier, the star is expected to garner a lot of interest in the coming months. Sandro has been dubbed the ‘next Andrea Pirlo’ and is very highly-rated in his native Italy.
Brescia president Massimo Cellino has previously revealed that he would rather sell the star to a club in Serie A, meaning the likes of Blues and Citizens face a battle to lure the ace to the Premier League in the coming months.
