Serie A outfit Torino have been so impressed with versatile defender Ola Aina they could launch a €10 million bid to sign him permanently in January.
According to reports from an Italian sport newspaper Tuttosport, as quoted on Calciomercato, Walter Mazzarri’s side have been taken back by the Nigerian star and the way he has adapted to life in Italy.
Aina joined the Turin-based side in the summer on a season-long loan after hearing fine things from close friend and ex-Chelsea midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah, who himself spent a campaign on loan at Napoli.
As part of the deal to take Ola to Italy, Torino were given the option to buy the defender permanently for €10 million.
The energetic wing-back has impressed throughout the first half of the campaign and has clearly done enough to convince the Italian club.
It is yet to be seen if the star has a future at Stamford Bridge and the lure of regular senior-team football could be too good to turn down for Ola.
This season, in all competitions, the 22-year-old all-around defender has made 10 Serie A appearances and provided 1 assist.
