Chelsea’s swoop for Gonzalo Higuain has been plunged into doubt after a lack of agreement between Maurizio Sarri and Chelsea chief executive Marina Granovskaia, according to a report on the Mirror.
The initial report from Calciomercato.com states that tensions between Granovskaia and Sarri have risen regarding Higuain, with the coach desperate to bring him to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are on the observation post for a striker in the January transfer market, with many pundits and supporters believing that they are lacking a clinical finisher in their team.
The 31-year-old star is on a loan deal at AC Milan, who have the option to make his transfer permanent at the end of the campaign for €36m.
AC Milan are keen to keep Gonzalo till the end of the season but if the Blues offers a handsome amount of money, Juventus may be inclined to letting the star move to London.
