Chelsea enter the battle to sign 25-year-old Serie A full-back

Chelsea will be in the equation to add Theo Hernandez in the summer transfer window. France international is also a target for Real Madrid and might depart from Milan next year. The 25-year-old left-back has found a stable footing in his career since joining the Rossoneri from Los Blancos.

The French defender had failed to get going at Real Madrid. But the Frenchman has been one of the best defenders in Serie A in the last three and a half years. The former Real Madrid defender has enjoyed a solid 2022/23 campaign thus far, chipping in with two goals and four assists in 18 games.

And Theo was also a key figure for France as they reached the 2022 FIFA World Cup final. But Hernandez’s stint with the Rossoneri might end next year, with Real Madrid and Chelsea interested. Theo Hernandez has thus emerged as a viable target for La Liga giants.

And while Theo failed to make his mark in his first spell at Real Madird, he is now on top of his game. But La Liga giants will face stiff competition from Chelsea for the defender.

The interest from the Blues is surprising, considering they invested in Cucurella in the summer. In addition, Chilwell is a top performer whenever he is fit and available. So it is unclear how Theo will fit in the scheme of things at the London club. Nonetheless, Chelsea have entered the equation for the Milan defender.
