Chelsea face losing £156,000-a-week star for free as European giants circle

Serie A giants Inter Milan want to sign Chelsea Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas on a free transfer, as per reports in the Italian media.

The Spaniard is out of contract at the west London giants at the end of the season, and it looks certain that Cesc will be leaving the club.

Inter Milan can officially make an offer to Cesc in January with a view to a move in the summer, or the club could see if they can do a deal with Blues in order to get the one-time Barcelona and Arsenal man during the winter window.

Aged 31, Cesc Fabregas’ time at Blues looks to have come to an end as the EPL side have numerous younger players available to them, all of whom seem to be more favoured by Italian manager Maurizio Sarri.

Spaniard will likely get the odd appearance in cup competitions between now and January, but he’s unlikely to play a major part in Blues’ hunt for the Premier League title.

This season, in all competitions, the experienced midfielder has netted 1 goal in 8 appearances for Blues so far.
