Chelsea have reportedly pinpointed Jack Butland as a possible replacement for Belgian star Thibaut Courtois, with the goalkeeper heavily connected with a move to Real Madrid this transfer market.
Belgium international is believed to be interested in returning to La Liga ahead of next campaign, with Los Blancos keen to recruit the ‘keeper as a replacement for Keylor Navas.
This would leave the Blues with a huge task in replacing the one-time Atletico Madrid loanee, who has been a central component since returning from his temporary spell in La Liga back in 2015.
It looks like, according to a report from Sky Sports, that one option that the Blues are considering exploring this summer is Stoke City ‘keeper Butland, who would like to remain in the EPL ahead of next season.
Butland was a part of his side’s squad that got relegated to the Championship the previous term but could be offered a route back to Premier League, with the Blues considering a swoop for the England international.
The 25-year-old star is reportedly valued at £30 million by Stoke City, with Chelsea regarding him as an ideal alternative to Alisson, who recently joined EPL rivals Liverpool in a world-record deal from Roma.
