Chelsea join race to sign Crystal Palace creative winger

Wilfried Zaha is the subject of interest from Chelsea over a potential move in the summer transfer window. The 29-year-old winger could leave Crystal Palace on a cut-price fee as he has entered the final year of his deal. Ivory Coast international has spent most of his professional career with the Eagles.

And the Ivorian winger has barely had a forgettable campaign with Crystal Palace. The only time the Ivorian failed to make his mark during his playing days was when he played for Man United and Cardiff City (on loan). But the African winger has rediscovered his best form since rejoining the Eagles eight years ago.

Zaha has a solid record of 83 goals and 73 assists in 429 games thus far for the Eagles. But Wilfried faces an uncertain future at Crystal Palace as he has entered the final year of his deal with the Eagles. And the Blues might look to pounce if he is available for a cut-price fee.

Chelsea have endured a frustrating summer transfer window, as they have failed to sign most of their main transfer targets. The Blues wanted to strengthen their offensive unit with two wide forwards but have only managed to secure the services of Sterling thus far.

Wilfried Zaha has now emerged as a viable target for the Blues, who might have a relatively clearer run at the Crystal Palace star. It will be interesting to see if Zaha becomes a top target for Chelsea in the coming weeks.
