Chelsea keeping close tabs with €20m-rated Belgian playmaker

Graham Potter sees ex-footballer Leandro Trossard as a dream target for his new team Chelsea. The English tactician was recently appointed as the new coach of the Blues after Thomas Tuchel was surprisingly sacked. Potter may turn to his ex-team to try and secure new additions, with one player in particular considered a dream target for the Blues.

Belgium international is a dream target for Graham Potter now he’s made the switch to London giants. Leandro has been utilised in a host of positions for the Seagulls under the English manager, most recently as a wing-back.

The Seagulls play a similar system to the London giants in terms of using attacking wing-backs, so Graham Potter could raid his ex-team with the comfort of knowing they’re likely to adapt to the style of play with ease. Trossard’s versatility could make him a useful signing for the Blues.

Most importantly, he’s aware of the demands Potter places on his footballers, is used to the PL, and should take little time to become accustomed to life at Stamford Bridge.

Potter has to ensure he has a squad of footballers buying into his ideas, so recruiting from his former club won’t be a surprise to see in the near future. The Belgian appears to have elevated his game to new heights this campaign, though and has already registered two goals and two assists in six PL matches for Brighton.
