Chelsea linked with a move to sign £88.6m-rated La Liga forward

El Gol Digital have really excelled themselves with this latest report. The Spanish website are reporting that Barcelona will manage a deal to sign Antoine Griezmann, with the help of Chelsea.

With Atletico Madrid having charged about an illegal offer from Barca for the forward to FIFA, the Catalan club believe a straight proposal to their league opponents for the Frenchman next summer transfer window, will be rejected out of control.

Somewhat they will agree a deal with Chelsea which will see Griezmann join the Blues for a term for £88.6m (€100m), and then buy the player off the London club for €140m (£124m) the following summer transfer window.

Why Chelsea would accept such a deal is anyone’s opinion. Of course, it would see a world ace joining the Blues for a year, but what would the club gain? They will get a small advantage of €20m (£18m) which El Gol say would be owed to the Blues, in the increase to compensate for the footballer’s €20m a year salary. This report really has minimal credibility behind it, but it’s still possible.
