Chelsea are monitoring the progress of Milan midfielder Sandro Tonali and could make an attempt to entice the footballer to London. Italy international has had some massive moments in his brief career already and played a crucial role in Milan’s Serie A triumph last campaign.
Sandro produced an excellent performance in the Rossoneri’s 2-0 UCL defeat to Chelsea at San Siro. And his unlikely audition should tempt Chelsea in making a move for him. Tonali has grown leaps in bounds since arriving from Brescia in 2021, turning into a more mature footballer since being handed more freedom by coach Stefano Pioli.
Leao has been a subject of interest from the Blues. But it is the 22-year-old midfielder who could emerge as the next big thing in Europe. The Italian midfielder can dictate possession from the base of the midfield, and there are very few press-resistant midfielders who can impose restrictions on the opponent footballers.
With wing-backs being a key component in Graham Potter’s plans, signing the Italian will allow them to flourish more as he can switch up play in split seconds. The Rossoneri are not in a rush to negotiate any transfer with suitors, as the midfielder has a long-term deal which will see him staying at the club for at least until 2027.
But the Blues have good relations with the Rossoneri when it comes to transfers. Several footballers, including Giroud, Tomori and Bakayoko, have moved to Milan in the last few years.
