Empoli’s hierarchy are asking a fee in the region of €15m from potential suitors for sought-after midfielder Hamed Junior Traore, the reports say.
According to a regional Italian newspaper Il Tirreno, as quoted on Calciomercato, Juventus, Inter Milan and AS Roma are all keen to sign the youngster.
Traore has previously been connected with a move to Stamford Bridge after making an impression in Serie A. The same Italian outlet stated that Maurizio Sarri would approach his one-time side over a potential move for the star.
Sarri is believed to be a massive admirer of the Ivorian youth international and could look to raid his former club.
The young midfielder is enjoying a breakthrough campaign at Empoli and his displays are not going unnoticed by some of Europe’s elite clubs.
The Blues are expected to strengthen in the middle of the park going forward, with Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas and England international Danny Drinkwater likely to move on.
There are also some doubts regarding a permanent move for central midfielder Mateo Kovacic, who is currently on loan from the Spanish heavyweights Real Madrid.
