Chelsea set to miss out on Spanish giants promising talent

Chelsea FC goal Ferran Torres has signed a new deal with Spanish sides Valencia, amid interest from Liverpool FC, Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid, in addition to the Blues.

The 18-year-old has broken into the Valencia senior team this year, making a several of appearances in La Liga and the Copa del Rey.

Impressing in his opportunities to this point, the interest from such teams of European football speaks for itself.

As Real Madrid and Barcelona grappled for the role, it was reported late Monday night that The Blues were watching the scuffle with a keen eye, perhaps hoping to benefit from the unsavoury results of such a struggle.

After all, it seems the star will be staying at Mestalla Stadium for the immediate future, as a new deal was signed yesterday.

The release (buy-out) clause for the young midfielder is now set at an eye-watering £100m, meaning teams will have to sit and stand by to see whether or not the star will ever justify such a price-tag.

This season, in all competitions, Ferran Torres has made 20 appearances, scored 1 goal and provided  2 assists.
