Chelsea talented midfielder could leave club on permanent basis this summer

Chelsea loanee Conor Gallagher has appeared as a shock target for Paris Saint-Germain, according to a report from the Sun.

The French champions are allegedly willing to part with £50m in order to sign him, who has netted six goals and registered three assists this campaign while on loan at Crystal Palace.

Les Parisiens boss Mauricio Pochettino is understood to be a big fan of the in-form player and he thinks the Blues would be willing to let Conor leave west London for the right price. Paris Saint-Germain are interested in securing the move in January but are also ready to wait until the summer.

Thomas Tuchel’s side have seen their roster depleted by injury and coronavirus, but are supposedly unable to recall the 21-year-old as a result of Gallagher having already played a specified number of matches as part of his loan deal at Selhurst Park.

The German boss is keen to refresh the club’s midfield and, though he is unable to recall Conor, is reportedly considering letting Hakim Ziyech, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Ross Barkley all leave in order to bring in fresh faces and reignite their title bid this year.
