Arsenal have announced that they have re-signed Spanish playmaker Dani Ceballos on a season-long loan deal from the Los Blancos.
The former Rela Betis midfielder spent the 2019-20 season at the Emirates Stadium, playing 37 games across all competitions and establishing himself as a vital part of Mikel Arteta’s team that managed to finish season with a triumph wining the FA Cup trophy and Community shield.
Spanish playmaker had initially returned to his parent team when his loan expired at the club, however, he will now spend the 2020-21 season at the Emirates Stadium.
“We’re thrilled to have Dani back with us for the new season,” Arsenal technical director Edu told the club’s official website.
“We all know his qualities after an impressive 2019-2020 campaign, which ended with him playing a key role in our FA Cup success. We’re excited to add Dani to the list of quality players we are bringing in.”
Arteta added: “Dani was and integral part of our team last season and finished the season in excellent form.
“I love Dani’s passion and commitment and he’s a highly skilful player. We’re all delighted to welcome him back and we look forward to seeing him pick up where he left off.”
Arsenal have been having a quiet transfer window thus far as they have only managed to secure services of Gabriel from Lille, however, extending loan deal for Ceballos will come as a huge boost for Mikel Arteta ahead of the 200/21 season.
