English club considering move for talented Man Utd forward

Manchester United forward Amad Diallo is set to sign for Birmingham City on loan for the rest of the season after holding discussions with Ralf Rangnick over his long-term future at the club.

The Ivorian joined the English giants in a £36 million deal from Atalanta last year but he has made just nine appearances for his team, scoring once.

While much is still expected of him in his career, it is clear that competition for places in wide zones is fierce at the Theatre of Dreams with the likes of Mason Greenwood, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Jadon Sancho at Rangnick’s disposal.

The German has therefore given Amad permission to leave the Red Devils and the Mirror claim the winger, his agents and United have decided on the Blues is the best option.

United shipped Tahith Chong out on loan to St Andrew’s in 2020 and the Dutchman was impressing for Lee Bowyer’s side before a recent injury sidelined him.

The 20-time English champions have been happy with the Championship club’s treatment of Chong, with the attacker playing 13 times before his injury.

That helped them take Teden Mengi on loan earlier this week and United think the club can help the former La Dea ace in his development too.
