Barcelona are interested in landing Chelsea winger Willian and are prepared to offer his compatriot Malcom in exchange as part of any potential deal.
The Brazilian attacker moved to the Camp Nou from Bordeaux in the summer transfer window for a €41 million fee – as per Goal – but he has thus far failed to break into Spanish coach Ernesto Valverde’s first team plans.
The 21-year-old star has featured just twice for Blaugrana during their first 11 La Liga matches this season and is being kept out of the team by Arthur, who also arrived at Catalan side during the summer from Gremio in Brazil.
According to Metro Sport, the highly-rated Malcom has already expressed his desire to depart from the club in search of regular game time and Barcelona are willing to use him as leverage in an exchange deal for a midfielder capable of adding more quality to their ranks.
That midfielder is Blues’ Willian, who according to the Daily Express, remains one of Blaugrana’s top transfer targets in the new year, in spite of having already failed to secure the star’s services with two bids during the last window.
