Everton renewed negotiations with £60,000-a-week Chelsea star

Ruben Loftus-Cheek is a target for Everton, and the Toffees are set to move in with a teasing bid. The Englishman has been pretty regular in the Chelsea setup this campaign as both Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter seem to have a love affair with his ability on the pitch.

The Blues’ reluctance of loaning their talented footballers has had some major repercussions in recent times as several footballers have been underutilized, particularly due to this policy. Ruben had several successful loan auditions at fellow London clubs Crystal Palace and Fulham.

And his career is finally heading down the right course at Chelsea. The Chelsea academy product has impressed in a number of outings and has been a permanent fixture in the midfield under the tutelage of Potter.

He might have missed the World Cup berth by a slender margin, but his recent displays could bring him some significant gains in the latter part of his career. Lampard has been fighting to keep Everton out of the relegation race as they are flirting with the drop zone with just one point separating them from the bottom three.

Frank Lampard is impressed by the footballer’s tenacity and will be gunning for a move in January. A loan move with an option to buy might suit both sides. But Everton might find it difficult to convince the Blues as they are already pretty light in the midfield department.
