Premier League duo, West Ham United and Everton are set to battle for ex-Manchester United player and now Borussia Dortmund man Shinji Kagawa.
The 29-year-old star has made just five appearances for Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund this season and Japan international is considering his options ahead of the January transfer market.
Kagawa, who netted six times in 57 appearances for Manchester United during a two-year stint, has been connected with a surprise return to the Premier League in the latest weeks.
Everton have been tracking Japanese midfielder closely and according to Calciomercato, West Ham United have now also joined the race for the star.
With Kagawa firmly out of favour at Borussia Dortmund, the Hammers believe they can seal a deal with the German club for around £12 million.
Crunch talks between die Borussen chiefs and Kagawa are expected to commence in the coming days as the Japanese star assesses his options ahead of the January window.
This season, in all competitions (Bundesliga, Champions League, DFB-Pokal, Regionalliga West), Red Devils flop has made 5 appearances, provided 6 assists, but failed to score a goal so far.
